Tidarat Sombuttawee and David J. Wood

Suroj and Wassana Sombuttawee of Chiangmai, Thailand, announce the engagement of their daughter Tidarat Sombuttawee to David J. Wood, son of the late Gene S. and Orsola D’Onofrio Wood.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Boontiang Boonrueng.

She is a 1999 graduate of Montfort College in Chiangmai, Thailand. She graduated in 2003 from Chulalongkurn University in Bangkok, Thailand, with a bachelor’s degree in business communications. She graduated in 2008 from the National Institute of Development Administration in Bangkok, Thailand, with a master’s degree in marketing. She was employed as an assistant marketing manager at Central Marketing Group of Thailand in Bangkok, Thailand.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Guisseppe and Ida Scotti D’Onofrio, and the late Jay T. and Minnie Presley Wood.

He is a 1985 graduate of Parkview High School in Lilburn. He graduated in 1987 from Gwinnett Technical Institute in Lawrenceville with a degree in mechanical drafting. He is employed as a CAD designer at Nannis & Associates Inc. in Buford.

The couple plan to wed Dec. 6, 2014, at The Payne-Corley House in Duluth.
