Steve and Diane Westmoreland of Maysville and Keith Slaton of Cornelia announce the engagement of their daughter Mandy Dianne Slaton to Carl Justin Sullens, son of David and Phyllis Sullens of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Keith Slaton of Cornelia and granddaughter of Ted Roberts Sr. of Lula and the late Bertha Roberts, Mary Slaton of Homer, Louise and the late Bob Westmoreland of Lula and Marvin and Glenda Slaton of Carnesville.

She is a 2005 graduate of Banks County High School in Homer. She will graduate in 2011 from North Georgia College & State University with a degree in early childhood and special education.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Walden and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sullens.

He is a 2004 graduate of North Hall High School. He graduated in 2006 from Lanier Technical College in Oakwood with a degree in machine tool technology.

The couple plan to wed at 6 p.m. Dec. 11, 2010, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Lula.
