Jack and Ann Shuler of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Haley Ann Shuler to James Michael Hobson Jr., son of James and Toni Hobson of Evans.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Juanita Adams and Joyce Stevens, both of Gainesville, and the late William W. Adams.

She is a 2000 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2004 from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in English. She is employed as a magazine editor with Nielsen Business Media in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the Rev. Wilfred and Alice Hunt and Anna Hobson, all of Augusta.

He is a 1999 graduate of Evans High School in Evans. He graduated in 2004 from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in cognitive science. He is employed as a sales manager with Courier Connection in Atlanta.

The couple plans to wed April 19, 2008, at Lambert Place in Atlanta.
