Christine and Timothy Scutt of Cumming announce the engagement of their daughter Jessica Ashley Scutt to Trevor William Catrett, son of Suzanne and Byron Catrett of Maysville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of William and Shirley Conklin of Loganville and Francis and Margaret Scutt of Oviedo.

She is a 2007 graduate of South Forsyth High School in Cumming. She graduated in 2011 from University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in middle grades education. She is employed as an advanced language arts eighth-grade middle school teacher at West Hall Middle School in Oakwood.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Bill and Betty Catrett of Atlanta and Bill and Betty Gaillard of Atlanta.

He is a 2002 graduate of West Hall High School in Oakwood. He graduated in 2007 from Shorter University with a Bachelor of Science degree in history and political science. He is employed as a SPED co-leader and coach at West Hall High School in Oakwood.

The couple plan to wed Dec. 18, 2016, at White Oaks Barn in Dahlonega.
