Rick and Danna Rowland of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Gail Rowland to Heath Carlton Pugh, son of Greg and Robin Pugh of Buford.

She is a 1999 graduate of Brighton High School in Salt Lake City. The bride-elect graduated in 2007 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a doctorate in pharmacy. She is employed as a pharmacy manager with Rite Aid in Chattanooga, Tenn.

The groom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Buford High School in Buford. He graduated in 2004 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree in microbiology. He received a doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Georgia in Athens in 2008. He is employed as a nuclear pharmacist with Triad Isotopes in Chattanooga.

The couple plan to wed April 24, 2010, in Athens.
