Karl and Maureen Napier of Glasgow, Ky., announce the engagement of their daughter Emily Dianne Napier to Matthew Price Henderson, son of George and Patricia Henderson of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Reba Napier of Celina, Tenn., and the late Karl Napier, and Rose Barsnack of Mingo Junction, Ohio, and the late Nicholas Barsnack.

She is a graduate of Glasgow High School in Glasgow, Ky. She graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor of arts degree in communicative disorders. She is employed as a behavioral clinical specialist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Ruth and Dolph Price, and the late Atkins and Vivian Henderson.

He is a graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. He graduated from Georgia College and State University with a bachelor of arts degree. He received a master of education degree in multiple and severe disabilities with a concentration in autism at Georgia State University in Atlanta. He is employed as a behavior analyst in Atlanta, and has worked with the Marcus Autism Center and Forsyth County Schools.

The couple plan to wed Sept. 20, 2014, in Highlands, N.C.
