Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Moore of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Rachel Ann Moore to Mr. Brendon Dean Todd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Todd of Charlotte, N.C.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Palmer of Dahlonega, the late Dr. James G. Woodard and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Moore.

She is a 2003 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2007 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree in biology.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dean of Columbus, Ohio, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Todd.

He is a 2003 graduate of Green Hope High School in Cary, N.C. He graduated in 2007 from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in business marketing. He is a professional golfer touring with the Professional Golfers Association of America.

The couple plan to wed March 14, 2009, at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro.
