Erica Lynn Moore and Brian Ray Carter announce their engagement. Moore is the daughter of David and Debbie Moore of Toccoa. Carter is the son of Daniel Carter Sr. of Clermont, and Jeanette Pirkle of Gainesville.

She is a 2007 graduate of Curahee Home Educators in Toccoa. She graduated in 2009 from North Georgia Technical College with a associates degree in business administrative office technology.

He is a 2005 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2009 from Piedmont College with a bachelor's degree in mass communications.

The couple plan to wed May 5, 2012, in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
