Dr. and Mrs. William Harvey Miller of Valdosta announce the engagement of their daughter Jennifer Elisabeth Miller to Wesley Garrett Taubel, son of Ms. Ann Logan Johnston of Whiteville, N.C., and Mr. Robert Alan Taubel of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Judson Akin and Mrs. Eric Donald Miller Sr. of Valdosta and the late Mr. Eric Donald Miller Sr.

She graduated from Valdosta State University in Valdosta with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is employed as a marketing manager with Newcomb & Boyd Engineering in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Thomas Matkins Johnston of Irvington, Va., and the late Mr. Thomas Matkins Johnston and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Lewis Taubel Jr.

He graduated from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala., with a bachelor’s degree in building science. He is employed as an assistant vice president of development with Ambling Cos. in Atlanta.

The couple plans to wed Feb. 23, 2008, at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, S.C.
