Randy and Lisa McCorkle of Buena Vista, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter Traci Michelle McCorkle to Jewell Marcus Reeves III, son of Mark and Debbie Reeves of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bubba and Beth McCorkle of Buena Vista, Ga., and Judy Godwin and the late David Godwin of Buena Vista, Ga.

She is a 2008 graduate of Marion County High School in Buena Vista, Ga. She plans to graduate in 2012 from Georgia Southwestern State University with a bachelor’s degree in English with teacher certification.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Jewell and Peggy Reeves of Gainesville, and Gene and Ailene White of LaGrange, Ga.

He is a 2004 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2009 from Georgia Southwestern State University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with teacher certification. He is employed as a mathematics teacher and football and baseball coach by Taylor County High School in Butler, Ga.

The couple plan to wed June 9, 2012, at The Rankin Gardens and Atrium in Columbus.
