Kenneth and Kathy Loggins of Murrayville announce the engagement of their daughter Karen Marie Loggins to Carl Standley Tench, son of Phillip and Gail Tench Young of Cleveland.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of J.D. and Virginia Loggins of Gainesville, Roy and Bessie Lee Strayhorn of Murrayville, and the late Boyd Lee.

She is a 2001 graduate of East Hall High School in Gainesville. She is employed as a cashier with Walmart in Dahlonega.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Hazel Tench of Gainesville, the late Carl Tench, Lula Maye Young of Atlanta, and the late William Young.

He is a 1989 graduate of Johnson High School in Gainesville. He is employed as a welder with Kubota Manufacturing in Gainesville and is a volunteer fireman in White County.

The couple plan to wed 6 p.m., July 3, 2010, at Friendship Baptist Church in Cleveland.
