Dr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton Land of Forsyth announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Britanny LeAnn Land to Mr. Andrew Ryan Smith, son of Dr. and Mrs. Tony Smith of Anderson, S.C.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Land and Mr. and Mrs. Talmadge Parker of Forsyth.

She is a 2006 graduate of Tennessee Temple Academy in Chattanooga. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology from Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa Falls.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Claud Bankston Smith of Westminster, S.C., the late Mr. Cecil Clyde Martin, and the late Mrs. Iva Belle Brown Martin.

He is a 2005 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2009 from Toccoa Falls College with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. He is employed as a teacher and coach at James Island Christian School in Charleston, S.C.

The couple plan to wed June 5, 2010, at Forsyth United Methodist Church in Forsyth.
