Stanley and Vickie Kanady of Lula announce the engagement of their daughter Jessica Danielle Kanady to Derek Andrew Cain, son of Darin and Peggy Cain of Gainesville. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marion and Patsy Darracott of Braselton, and Billy and Donna Kanady of Gillsville, and the late Wayne and Kay Von Howington of Lula. She is a 2008 graduate of East Hall High School in Gainesville. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She is employed at Gainesville Parks and Recreation in Gainesville. The groom-elect is the grandson of Wayne and Joyce Clark of Gainesville, and Donald and Sandra Cain of Gainesville, and the late Jo Ann Cain of Gainesville. He is a 2006 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville. He is employed as a crew chief by London Land Surveying in Cleveland. The couple plan to wed March 10, 2012, at Cool Springs Baptist Church in Gainesville.
