Edward and Joyce Jones of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Whitley Brianne Jones to Matthew Todd Miller, son of Randall and Rita Rylee of Gainesville, and Todd and Dora Miller of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Earle W. Jr. and Lynn Darby of Gainesville, and Jackie Jones of Gainesville and the late Cecil E. Jones Jr.

She is a 2008 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2012 from North Georgia College and State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing. She is employed as a communications assistant at Gainesville First United Methodist Church in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late David and Hettie Souther, and the late Owida Beatty.

He is a 2009 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville. He is currently attending the University of North Georgia and pursuing a degree in business administration. He is employed in delivery at Leon Farmer and Company in Gainesville, and as a junior varsity baseball coach at Chestatee High School in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed Sept. 20, 2014, at Gainesville First United Methodist Church in Gainesville.
