Kim and Jeff Jones of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Whitney Maree Jones to Joshua Hudgins, son of Sammy and Lynn Hudgins of Lula.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Junior and Laura Sue Jones of Gainesville, Martha Pass of Jefferson and the late Charles Pass.

She is a 2004 graduate of East Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2009 from Brenau University in Gainesville. She is employed with Lanier Dental Group in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Bill and Edna Pool of Gainesville and the late L.T. and Ruth Hudgins.

He is a 2003 graduate of East Hall High School in Gainesville. He is employed as a technician with AT&T in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed Sept. 11, 2010, at the Mansfield Estates in Gainesville.
