Russell and Mellanie Moore of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Tessa Ashleigh Player Johnson to Brian Edward Duke, son of Linda Ingle of Gainesville and Rick Duke of Atlanta.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Tessie Wagner of Gainesville and the late Edward Wagner.

She is a 1999 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2004 from Brenau Women's College in Gainesville with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is employed as a personal markets recruiter with Liberty Mutual Group in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Clara Galleshaw of Clarkesville, the late James Galleshaw, and the late Joel and Claudia Duke.

He is a 1998 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 1998 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He received a master's degree at the University of Georgia in 2003. He is employed as a valuation senior analyst with Ernst & Young in Atlanta.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 23, 2010, at Hardeman-Sams House in Athens.
