Frances Shelton of Augusta and Clifford and Tina Jarrell of Martinez announce the engagement of their daughter Jessica Lauren Jarrell to Joshua David Farrell, son of Joe and Gloria Farrell of Lula.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert and Susan Shelton of Augusta, the late Shirley Twitty and the late Deloris Jarrell.

She is a 2005 graduate of Cross Creek High School in Augusta. She graduated in 2009 from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville with a bachelor’s degree in community health. She is employed by Advanced Chiropractic Center in Augusta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Rudine Freeman of Douglasville, the late Howard Freeman, Nettie Farrell of Clemmons, N.C., and the late Margaret and Joseph Farrell Sr.

He is a 2005 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2009 from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville with a bachelor’s degree in rhetoric. He is pursing a master’s degree in teaching at Georgia College and State University in Macon. He is employed as an English teacher with Bibb County Board of Education in Macon.

The couple plan to wed March 27, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church in Macon.
