Mr. and Mrs. Reggie Hulsey of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Katee LeAra Hulsey to Mr. Bryan Watkins Whitfield VI, son of Mr. Bryan Watkins Whitfield V and Dr. Donna Whitfield of Dahlonega.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Margie Mooney of Gainesville, the late Mr. Carl Mooney and the late Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Hulsey.

She is a 2003 graduate of East Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2007 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor’s degree in middle grades education. She is employed as a teacher with the Gwinnett County Public Schools.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Watkins Whitfield IV and Mrs. Virginia Winkler, all of Dahlonega, and the late Mr. Don Winkler.

He is a 2004 graduate of Lakeview Academy in Gainesville. He graduated in 2008 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. He is pursuing a doctorate of medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine.

The couple plan to wed July 3, 2010, at Clemons Chapel in Lula.
