Alison Hudgins and James Odom

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ashford Hudgins of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Alison Marie Hudgins to Mr. James Bradford Odom, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Stacy Odom of Macon.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Walter Stanton Cox, the late Mr. Walter Stanton Cox, Mrs. Albert White Hudgins and the late Mr. Albert White Hudgins, all of Gainesville.

She is a 2002 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2006 from The University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. She is employed as an interior designer with Traditions Furniture and Design in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eddie James Harrell, Mrs. Stacy Alexander Odom of Lyons and the late Mr. Stacy Alexander Odom.

He is a 2002 graduate of Westside High School in Macon. He graduated in 2006 from The University of Georgia in Athens with bachelor degrees in finance and political science. He received a doctorate of jurisprudence at The University of Georgia School of Law in Athens. He is employed as a law clerk with The Federal District Court for the Middle District of Georgia in Columbus.

The couple plan to wed July 17, 2010, at Gainesville First United Methodist Church in Gainesville.
