The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Helen N. Evans of Southport, N.C.

She graduated from Chowan College in Murfreesboro, N.C., and King’s College in Charlotte, N.C. She is employed by Community Features in Gainesville.

The groom-elect graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Ala. He is employed as a director of military and international accounts with Perdue Farms Inc., in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed in October at Ft. Caswell, N.C.
