Mike and Wanda Gillum of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Kamila Shea Gillum to Reggie Lee Wyse, son of Jack and Cathy Brunen of Beverly Hills, Fla., and the late Richard Lee Wyse.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bill and Wilma Humphries of Demorest and the late Earl and Joyce Gillum.

She is a 2001 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2006 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in sociology and psychology. She is employed as a special education teacher with the Hall County school system in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Victor and Jessie Garnard.

He is a 1992 graduate of Johnson High School in Gainesville. He is employed as a firefighter and emergency medical technician with Hall County Fire Services in Gainesville.

The couple plans to wed Oct. 4, 2008, at The Arts Council Complex in Gainesville.
