Amos and Cathy Fields of Cumming announce the engagement of their daughter Niki Lyn Fields to Shannon James Finnel, son of James and Marcia Finnel of Maribel, Wis.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Gene and Judy Bennett of Cumming, and the late Earlie and Audrey Fields.
She is a graduate of South Forsyth High School in Cumming. She graduated from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Oliver and Nona Jacques, and the late John and Gladys Finnel.
He is a graduate of Mishicot High School in Mishicot, Wis. He graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay, Wis., with a degree in machine tool operations. He is employed as a first piece inspector at General Electric Power and Water in Duluth.
The couple plan to wed Dec. 6, 2014, at Juliette Chapel in Dahlonega.
