Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Julius Farkas of Gainesville and announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Lane Elizabeth Farkas to Mr. Robert Wesley Park, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cleveland Park of Newborn.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emory DeLoach of Denmark, Mrs. Eleanor Farkas of Savannah, the late Dr. Zoltan Farkas and the late Mrs. Clara Farkas.

She is a 2004 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2008 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She received a master's degree in 2009 at the University of Georgia. She is employed as a second-grade teacher with the Hall County school system in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilson Park and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Garraux.

He is a 1997 graduate of Loganville High School in Loganville. He graduated in 2002 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education.

He received a master's degree in 2009 from North Georgia College & State University. He is employed as a physical education teacher with the Hall County school system.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 15, 2011, at First United Methodist Church in Gainesville.
