Joseph William and Marie Kerr Emery of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret JoAnn Kerr Emery, to Aaron Joseph Trimble, son of Lealisa Walker of St. Louis, Mo., and Michael Trimble of Lake City, Fla.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of JoAnn Kerr of Buncombe, Ill., the late Harry Milton Kerr, Margarete McNatt of Jefferson, Ohio, and the late Lawrence Earl Emery.

She is a 2004 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2006 from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss., with a bachelor’s degree in interior design. She is employed as a draftsman with Howard Industries in Laurel, Miss.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Nellie Martin of Marion, Ohio.

He is a 2006 graduate of Harrison Central High School in Gulfport, Miss. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in political science from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.

The couple plan to wed June 5, 2010, in the Bahamas.
