Judy and Norman Adams of Dahlonega announce the engagement of their daughter Heather Ashley Ellis to Patrick Bonner Blalock, son of Bill and Diane Blalock of Gainesville. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Joseph “Jody” Ellis.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of A.C. “Candler” and Fae Brady of Murrayville and the late Charlie and Mary “Vee” Ellis.

She is a 2001 graduate of Lumpkin County High School in Dahlonega. She graduated in 2005 from North Georgia College & State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She is employed as a treatment coordinator with Black Orthodontics in Asheville, N.C.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mary Helen Blalock of Clayton, the late William Blalock Sr. and the late Fred and Marjorie Derrick.

He is a 1997 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2002 from the University of Georgia  with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He is employed as a vice president with First Citizens Bank in Asheville, N.C. He is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.

The couple plan to wed May 15, 2010, at Central United Methodist Church in Asheville, N.C.
