Mr. and Mrs. Michael Dombrowsky of West Palm Beach, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Christina Nicole Dombrowsky to Mr. Seth Bowen Barnes Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Barnes of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Alan Dombrowsky and Dr. Susan Dombrowsky of Miami Shores, Fla., and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Matthews of Naples, Fla.

She is a 2003 graduate of Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Fla. She graduated in 2007 from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., with a bachelor’s degree, and in 2008 with a master’s degree in international business. She is employed as a director of Kingdom Journeys at Adventures in Missions in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Asa Barnes of Silver City, N.M., and Mr. Samuel Starook of Grand Haven, Mich.

He is a 2003 graduate of Heritage Academy in Oakwood. He graduated in 2007 from Taylor University in Upland, Ind., with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He is employed as director of the Center for Global Action at Adventures in Missions in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed Nov. 8, 2014, in Wellington, Fla.
