Dr. and Mrs. Pierce Kendal Dixon III of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Heather Michelle Dixon to Mr. Tipton Dovey Sholes, son of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Earl Sholes of Gainesville. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Washington Wallis Sr., and Mrs. Pierce Kendal Dixon Jr. of Gainesville and the late Dr. Pierce Kendal Dixon Jr. She is a 2006 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2010 from Clemson University in Clemson, S.C., with a bachelor of arts degree in history.
