Janice Adams Davis of Gainesville announces the engagement of her daughter Carrie Elizabeth Davis to Michael Shane Stepp son of Johnny and Brenda Gail Stepp of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late John Ike Adams Jr. and Paula Adams Pfaff.

She graduated in 2009 from Lanier Technical College in Oakwood with a degree in criminal justice. She is employed as case manager with Forsyth County Drug Court.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Homer and Runell Ellis and John and Hattie Stepp.

He is a 1996 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He is employed by SKF USA Inc. in Flowery Branch.

The couple plan to wed Nov. 14, 2010 in Gainesville.
