Ms. Rosemary Christian of Cumming and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Christian of Covington announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Emily Kosey Christian to Mr. John Taylor Martin, son of Dr. and Mrs. John K. Martin of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gene Christian and the late Mr. and
Mrs. John Kosey.

She is a 1998 graduate of Forsyth Central High School in Cumming. She graduated in 2002 from Brenau University in Gainesville with a bachelor's degree in special education. She is employed with Forsyth County school system in Cumming.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J. Kendley Martin and the late Mr. and
Mrs. Elmer L. Stanley.

He is a 1996 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He graduated from Georgia State University in Atlanta with a bachelor's degree in accounting.

The couple plan to wed June 18, 2011, at Gainesville First United Methodist Church in Gainesville.
