Mr. and Mrs. William Cauthen of Leesburg, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Mandy Sara Cauthen to Mr. John Knox Burns IV, son of Dr. and Mrs. John Asbury Burns of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Leesburg High School in Leesburg, Fla. She graduated in 2007 from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental design. She received a master’s degree at Auburn University in community planning and landscape architecture. She is employed by Castlewood Custom Landscape and Design in Littleton, Colo.

The groom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2006 from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He is currently attending the University of Denver for a master’s degree in finance. He is employed by DaVita HealthCare Partners in Denver, Colo.

The couple plan to wed in April 2014, in Leesburg, Fla.
