Keith and Melinda Furman of Sumter, S.C., and Ronnie and Frieda Casper of Blue Ridge announce the engagement of their daughter Laura Michelle Casper to Joshua Brock Henley, son of Jimmy and Nancy Henley of Conyers.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Barbara Wingo of Gainesville, the late Ford Wingo, Valiree Bryant of Gainesville and the late Doug Casper.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Lillian Henley of Lafollette, Tenn.

The couple plan to wed Aug. 22, 2009, in Covington.
