John Carlton of Pflugerville, Texas, and Julia Eberhardt Carlton of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Jennifer Katherine Carlton to Michael Lee Smith, son of Richard and Marilynn Smith of Athens. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Seaborn and Joyce Eberhardt, and the late Frances and Lee Carlton. She is a 1990 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville.
