Bimbo and Elaine Briscoe of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Elizabeth Meagan Briscoe to Michael David Johnson, son of Alan and Margaret Aiken of Braselton and James and Cindy Johnson of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Estelle Hurley of Gainesville and the late Deward Hurley and the late George and Mitty-Grace Briscoe.

She is a 1999 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2003 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She received a master’s degree at Brenau University in Gainesville in early childhood education. She is pursuing an education specialist degree in gifted and creative education from the University of Georgia in Athens. She is employed as a first-grade teacher with Riverbend Elementary School in Hall County.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Ira Peck of Gainesville and the late Howard Peck and the late George and Ora Johnson.

He is a 1998 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He is employed as a lineman with Jackson EMC in Gainesville.

The couple plans to wed June 14, 2008, at The Highland United Methodist Church in Gainesville.
