Lloyd and Tina Brewer of Dahlonega announce the engagement of their daughter Lacey Jay Brewer to Brian Andrew Barnes, son of Robbie and Ricky Walden of Clermont and David and Jacqueline Barnes of Ballground.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Elton and Barbara Brewer of Fitzgerald and the late W.C. and Elna McGee.

She is a 2007 graduate of Lumpkin County High School in Dahlonega. She is employed as a veterinary assistant with Chestatee Animal Hospital in Dahlonega.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Felton and Carolyn Conner of Gainesville, Bradford Barnes of Dahlonega and the late Mary Barnes.

He attended East Hall High School in Gainesville. He is employed by United Parcel Service in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed Sept. 24, 2011, at Forrest Hills Mountain Resort in Dahlonega.
