The Rev. and Mrs. Eddie A. Borders of Homer announce the engagement of their daughter Miss LaRue Ann Borders to Mr. Jason Wayne Evans, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Evans of Lula.

The bride-elect is employed as a teacher with Banks County Elementary School in Homer.

The groom-elect is employed as a deputy with Hall County Sheriff's Department in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 9, 2010, at the groom's parents residence in Lula.
