Kristina Bryan of LaGrange and Ray Arthur of Swainsboro announce the engagement of their daughter Marie Desiree Arthur to Christopher Hans Stoecker, son of John and Jo Beth Stoecker of Sugar Hill.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Perry and Nancy Jones of Jekyll Island and the late Grady and Cora Arthur.

She is a 1994 graduate of LaGrange High School in LaGrange. She graduated in 1998 from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, R.I., with a bachelor's degree in sales and meeting management. She is employed as a program associate with Avita Community Partners in Cumming. She is a member of Daystar Church in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of William and Mary Beth Jordan of Stone Mountain and John and Mary Stoecker of Forest Park.

He is a 1992 graduate of Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville. He graduated in 2004 from Clayton State University in Morrow with a bachelor's degree in business marketing. He is the owner of Motion Graphics/Web Design in Gainesville. He is a member of Daystar Church in Atlanta.

The couple plan to wed in 2012.
