Michael and Valerie Almand of Marietta announce the engagement of their daughter Meredith Rae Almand to Geoffrey Glen Turner, son of Scott Turner of Lula and Christy Thomas of Lula. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Joan Almand of Gainesville, and the late Charlie and Sue Almand of Birmingham, Ala. She is a 2006 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville.
