East Lanier church offers day of blessings

Dodging thunderstorms, about 60 members of East Lanier Community Church helped in its second annual Day of Extreme Blessings on April 24.

A breakfast kicked off the day, followed by a worship and praise to celebrate "one anotherness" in the community. Then volunteers descended on several South Hall organizations to lend a hand.

Volunteers cleaned out an old storage building in preparation for expanding the capacity of South Hall Community Food Pantry while others helped clients and updated supplies.

Also, Living Recovering received new flowers, a good cleaning and a working porch swing. Mother’s Day and Father’s Day favors were made for South Hall Meals on Wheels clients, and 20 shoe boxes were packed with supplies for our military personnel.
