James and Laura Trammell of Gainesville celebrated their 50th anniversary on Dec. 9, 2007. A reception held in their honor in The Rose Garden at Forrest Hills Mountain Resort in Dahlonega was given by their daughters Terry Trammell Skipper and Deneen Trammell. The couple said the presence of family and friends was a treasured gift.

The couple have two children and two grandchildren.
