Charles and Lois Shaw of Braselton celebrated their 50th anniversary on Feb. 14, 2008. A ceremony, including renewal of their wedding vows, was held on Feb. 9, 2008, along with a reception including family and friends. Their daughters Cyndi Pinion of Braselton, Wanda Perkins of Loganville and Meredith Jones of Braselton and their families were hosts.

The couple said they are "still in love, still holding hands, still singing together, still finding the spark that makes the magic and still making memories ... celebrating all of God’s blessings!"

The couple have three children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
