Larry and Josephine Payne of Gainesville celebrated their 50th anniversary on July 25, 2009. A dinner party held in their honor at their son's residence was given by Jeff and Hart Payne, Kim and John Yarger and Melanee and John Payne.

The couple celebrated with a Mediterranean cruise.

The couple have three children and eight grandchildren.
