James and Lena Ruth Nease of Gainesville celebrated their 60th anniversary on Sept. 3, 2007. A reception held in their honor at First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville was given by their daughters Beth Abernathy of Gainesville and Johnna Cannon of Colquitt.
Mr. Nease, a World War II veteran, is retired from the Social Security Administration where he served in numerous capacities. He retired as an administrative law judge. Mrs. Nease is a retired educator.The couple have two children, seven grandchildren and are expecting a great-grandchild.
