Frank and Laney Lake of Gainesville celebrated their 50th anniversary on Jan. 24, 2008. A reception held in their honor with 50 of their close relatives and friends was given by their four children Winter Cox of Gainesville, Sara Barnes of Clinton, Miss., Frank Lake Jr. of Gainesville and Catherine Myer of Virginia Beach, Va.

All 12 of the couple’s grandchildren were in attendance.
