Stan and Ruby Hopwood of Flowery Branch celebrated their 50th anniversary on July 8, 2009. A reception held in their honor at West Hall Baptist Church in Oakwood was given by their children and their spouses.

The couple celebrated by taking a trip to Hawaii.

The couple have five children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
