Bill and Mary Brady of Gainesville celebrated their 50th anniversary on May 31, 2008. A reception given by their children was held in their honor at the Moon Fish Restaurant in Orlando, Fla. A trip to Ireland was given to the couple by their children and grandchildren in celebration of their anniversary.

The couple said the most sentimental times in their life together was the birth of their five wonderful children. One special time for the couple was volunteering during the 1996 Olympics. Mary volunteered for opening and closing ceremonies and Bill volunteered at the rowing and kayak venue.

The couple have five children and nine grandchildren.
