Derek and Loraine Beard of Gainesville celebrated their 60th anniversary on Sept. 10, 2009. A renewal of vows and reception in their honor at the Dove House in Boulder, Colo., was given by their daughters Melanie Jenkins, Lisa Beard and Jenifer Cistola.

The couple have three children, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
