The Tiberius String Quartet from Romania will perform at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at in the Piedmont College Chapel on Central Avenue in Demorest.
The concert will feature music by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms and Haydn.
The quartet has traveled throughout Europe and Japan since being founded in 1994 at the Academy of Music in Cluj, Romania.
Piedmont students, faculty, and staff are admitted free. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for non-Piedmont students and seniors.
The group's members are Tibor Molnár and Károly Lokodi on violin, Józef Molnár on viola; and Elod Zágoni on cello.
Since being founded, the quartet has attended many master classes in Hungary, London, Budapest and Amsterdam where they work privately with professional musicians to master their trade.
Every year, the Tiberius Quartet holds its annual "Tiberius Week" International Chamber Music Festival in Targu Mures, Romania where they perform with quartets from around the world. This is the only event of its type in Eastern Europe.
