Tarzan swings into Lumpkin County High School
Area thespians to perform story based on Disney animation

As the legend of “Tarzan” is set to open in movie theaters July 1, the Lumpkin County High School thespians plan to present its own version of the classic tale.

Based on Disney’s animated musical adventure, the high school’s production will feature heart-pumping music by rock legend Phil Collins and a book by Tony Award-winning playwright, David Henry Hwang. Hits such as the Academy Award-winning “You’ll Be in My Heart” as well as “Son of Man” and “Two Worlds” will be part of the “Tarzan” experience.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. June 24 and 25 and 3 p.m. June 26 at Lumpkin County High School, 2001 Indian Drive, Dahlonega.
