Runners looking for a different terrain to race on can try the 5-kilometer and fun run this Saturday in Dahlonega.

The Chocolate Rush 5K and Kids Fun Run will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at 527 Miller Calhoun Road off Cavender Creek Road, which is a few miles from downtown Dahlonega. Registration will begin at 8 a.m.

The race course is a trail run suitable for beginners as well as experienced runners. Fess are $25 with proceeds benefitting Relay for Life.

Participants will receive a long-sleeve race T-shirt, a swag bag with plenty of goodies including chocolate and hot chocolate at the finish line. Raffle prizes include a portable wireless speaker, a spa gift card and Mtn.Smith running pack.

Awards will be given for overall male and female runners as well as the top three finishers in each age group, starting at 10 and younger.
