Many traditions surround Thanksgiving Day, and some traditions for runners include trotting down paved paths in a 5-kilometer before the Thanksgiving meal. One such event is the Traditions of Braselton Turkey Trot 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run on Nov. 26 in Jefferson. The fun run will begin at 8:30 a.m. while the 5K race will start at 9:15 a.m. Both races will be through the Traditions of Braselton golf course community, 1665 Traditions Way, in Jefferson.
